Kate Bladek has studied creative writing at both Washington State University and Aberystwyth University and will be graduating with her BA in 2027. She writes both fiction and creative nonfiction, and is currently enjoying a focus in speculative and horror genres.

Kate’s work has won the Fiction Editor’s Choice award in WSU’s Land Escapes literary journal, the Jennie Brown Rawlins scholarship for creative writing, and an honorable mention for the Sarah Weems Creative nonfiction award.

When she isn’t writing, Kate can most often be found plotting, scheming, or getting up to something. (She recently moved back to the United States from Wales and is spending lots of time relaxing with her books, crochet hooks, friends and family.)
